Errata: to make the wide top and bottom rim like the sides, add 4 rows knit at beginning and 2 rows knit at the end with bind off should make 8 rows knit on top and bottom.

Very cool. what size needles do you suggest using?

I use anywhere from a size 5 to an 8 size needle... It depends on the preference on how detailed the cloth you want.. The smaller the needle the more defined the design...
